Watching successful people take calculated risks and reap the rewards of carefully targeted real estate investments was a big part of my childhood.  As interest rates leapt past 14%, I learned that the proper strategy could make success attainable in any market. My parents were not Trumps but a home maker/artist and scientific sales executive who were always looking for opportunities in the market. They usually found them while I tagged along on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon in the back seat of our car with my nose pressed up against the glass staring at the dirt that would soon be their newest investment adventure. 

The subdivisions of my youth created a hunger to explore and adore the charming older homes in Charlotte’s historic districts as well create a place for thrilling modern & green architecture.  I started in “transitional” neighborhoods like the now thriving NoDa Arts District and Plaza Midwood.  At that time there was an incredible surge of creativity and energy that transformed me as well as my city.
